Garagiste – national fine wine retailer:
Dear Friends,
2003 Pedestal
Many will argue that this is the best wine ever made in Washington State,
better than the early vintages of Leonetti, better than the glory days of
Quilceda Creek pre-1995. It would not surprise me in the least if this ends up
as the highest rated wine ever to emerge from this state.
When Michel Rolland set out to make a Petrus-like wine in Washington State he
didn’t leave many stones unturned. The result is the Pedestal which mimics a
Pomerol in its Merlot dominance but has the intensity and ripeness that only
the new world can provide. There is a tremendous amount of buzz surrounding
this wine and it may actually be justified. It is painfully difficult to get
but you will hear a lot about this debut release in the coming months,
especially because it is a 2003 - considered to be the perfect growing season
for this wine. If you like to discover the next Harlan before it becomes
$250/bottle, now is your chance.
THIS WINE IS RIDICULOUSLY LIMITED! MOST RETAILERS ARE ONLY GETTING A FEW
BOTTLES.
